When Gothic literature first came into play it had a medieval stetting. Now there are several works that represent Gothic literature but have a modern day twist. This shows how Gothic literature has evolved and been taken to a new level. New moon is a good example of modern day Gothic. It still bares the supernatural plot but has been updated with new scenery and a new time period. This movie is aimed towards the younger generation so the characters look like members of our current youth. Their clothing and mannerisms is nothing compared to the book Frankenstein or the previous renditions of the movie Frankenstein.
